i notice the evos here in cali make a lot lot less hp.

on the east cost its so common for pump gas evos to have 350+ whp on the stock turbo and 450-550whp with gr35r/6262/fp black. all on the stock engine and that you guys run close to 30psi on pump gas

Here in cali with 91 octane all the tunners tune to 22psi abd and most stock turbo evos dont make much more that 300whp and most bigger turbos evos like me make close to 400whp and thats about it. Even evos with built engines and big turbos dont make much more than 400 whp here on pump gas

really is 93 and 91 octane that much of a differance

yes it is and even 93 bought from different gas stations makes a difference.
example hess 93 i made 370whp, shell 93 i made 390whp same tune, gas changed withing 1/2 hour.

Yes 91 is awful for high boost applications....I had my Evo in Va. (just outside of DC) for a couple of years and experienced first hand the difference with my car - I lost ~30 whp. I was running 25 psi on 93 octane and ~22 psi with 91 octane.

Now I am running 91 + meth/water, but still 93 + meth / water would be much better....

Being that I am in the gas station business I have heard about many shady horror stories of business owners paying truck drivers to dump regular into the super tank. Be very careful of where you get your gas. If you are running a high horsepower setup at the brink I would go even as far as sending off a sample to a lab. Just a FYI.

We had a problem here in Pittsburgh not too long ago where one of the trucks filled the 87 tank with Diesel and yeah well that went over real well like a fart in church on sunday with all the drivers in the area, but us dealership techs well we loved the steady work . Still I agree somewhat to testing the fuel but I wouldn't test it all the time, I'd test it and stick with that station only for fill ups and I would only test the gas every so often kinda like a **** test at the doctors

Still if I had found out that someone was paying the refilling trucks to dump regular into the 91/93 tanks id sh*t a chicken and probably turn my rage on the store owner/manager.... I tend to have a small anger issue.

California 91 is about like 89 WA, its really done around 22-23 psi for good power. 92 seems I can push to 29 pretty consistent for comparison I can only imagine 93 is that much better.
