buschur ported manifold

what do you guys think about a ported buschur manifold? My goal is between 600-650 whp. Is this manifold good for me? I went to a shop and a guy looked at what i had and told me it was garbage because it was not a tubular manifold. any input? was the guy just hating? if this is not a goo manifold i would like togged one that will fit right with an fp black

Ported stocker will be fine for 600 providing that you have all of the other supporting mods to go along with it.

This guy either doesnt know his @ss from his elbow or is just trying to make a buck off you. If he doesnt know that the stock ported/coated piece is perfectly fine, if not the absolute best option for a stock frame turbo then I really hope you arent going to have your work done by him.

You will be fine for your goals, I run the AWD/Buschur one and I'm at 500 whp, Diiirk of AWD runs the same piece on his car, has all supporting mods and the Black on it and is pushing 650whp with no problems.

I ran an Invidia tubular mani on my car for about 2 weeks, hated it, robbed MAJOR spool up and produced LESS power than the stock piece. Yeah it looked nice but it was a $250 mistake in labor for me to have to take it off and put the ported/coated stocker on. Not to mention that uncoated the thing was dumping MASSIVE amounts of heat into the engine bay which isnt good either.

BTW, AWD/Buschur and MAP ported and coated units are basically identical besides the coating. AWD is flat black which I like because its more stealth, the MAP unit comes coated either black or blue. Buschur units are silver color coating (jet coated).

He is talking about the turbo mani not the intake mani.

What kind of price did you see for a ported manifold with the coating?

I'm curious and figured it would be the OP's next question.
