PTE 6262 Journal - proper oiling?

I have searched and have not had any luck to this question.

I want to know what would be a proper oil feed setup for a PTE 6262 journal bearing. Head or oil filter housing? Restrictor or no?

Thanks

Precision always says no restrictor, but a lot of guys have problems with oil blowing past the seals without one.

As per PTE, you should feed from the OFH with a -4 line. The head doesn't provide enough pressure and volume of oil for a JB turbo. However, if your motor is producing upwards of 80psi of oil presssure, I would look into some type of restrictor. Remember, this will be a relatively large restrictor vs a ball bearing turbo.... something along the lines of a .8 or .75 size fitting. Some have said to run a -3 line as another option as well. Its going to be some kind of trial and error. Start with a -4 line. Usually, you can see a little extra smoke out the exhaust with too much oil pressure. If so, try a restrictor or switch to a -3.

Thank you for the information.

Right now I am running FP's oil feed line for my journal bearing holset with the .030" restrictor (black unit) which I just read is better for ball bearing turbo's not journal bearing turbo's (probably why there's some smoke)

Anyways, I will try just a -4an with the 6262 and see how that goes. Do you know where I can buy a .75 restrictor?

Thanks

Does anyone know what size oil inlet that connect to the turbo from the oil feed line? And if i used the 3an lines, does it fit into both the cars' head and into the turbo? Or do i have to convert both of them to make it fit the 3an lines?
