I am looking for the log, but YamahaR1 was running 28psi on KS 91 octane for quite awhile. I also know Bryan@GST did the same on the Green WAY BACK in the day when him and I were goofing with high boost pumpgas on the stock computer.

It's a hta gt3582r not a hta gt3586r. But still a 700whp capable turbo. Stock engine has about 100k miles. About 40k miles with this turbo kit and most of it's early life with a gt3076r open scroll kit.

Like I said my car is a real street car driven everyday 100 plus miles most days with a full sound system.
I also like to add the car has been very very reliable. I do take the car autocrossing on many occasions and I did do 1 open track day and 1 drag racing day.

Why not upgrade the pistons and rods? Maybe with 10:1 compression ratio and a nice conservative re-tune .

if E85 isn't available throwing some meth in the mix, bumping the boost up and re-tuning would give a good power increase but i did read that u dont like meth...also how was that turbo when u did autoX? especially with that 1.06 A/R?

Like I said I do not and will not trust meth injection. I do not want to build the motor because I do not want to fix what's not broken.

As for auto cross. There is some lag but I can still autocross the car. As you can see by my dyno I hit 20psi by 4 k rpm. Spools faster than my old buschur open scroll gt3076r kit. Sure a stock turbo would be better for autocross but my car is an all purpose daily driver.

Maybe it was mentioned and I just didn't see it due to my cataracts, but who is tuning your car? Any of the top dogs(Aaron, Bryan, or Mellon) should be able to tune you to at least at 26-28# of boost even on 91 octane pisstane.

When I lived in Cali and drove a Buick GN I would just purchase a gallon of Xylene(Xylol) at my local Sherwin-Williams store and add it to every tankfull of gas. This will bump the calicrap pumpgas up to about 94 octane.

I would definitely go for a better camset(GSC S2's, or Kelfords) and swap out the 3.5" ETS core for a 5 incher. This should lower intake charge temps and allow you to raise the boost level. You definitely want to run as high a boost as possible to take advantage of that sexy, big, cold blowing turbo.

I don't get the 91 octane boost limit. I'm running a 26 psi spike on a ported 9 turbo. Get a different tuner.

Your air filter is limiting you. Get one with more surface area, especially with that turbo. Have the turbo hot side ported and smoothed out.

Get your car to an experienced builder and have them look it over, there are a lot of little things that be done to optimize a setup.

My tuner is Scott gray from road race. He's one of the best and most common used Evo tuners in so cal.

the key to good pump gas power is fixing all of the restrictions, head work, ported intake, ported tb, big cams, big turbo, free flowing exhaust and of course a good tuner that knows how to take advantage of low octane and keep it safe so you can run it hard and not have to worry about it.

I believe it was AMS that said they got 40whp more out of the jun 272 over the hks 272. They did however say you would have trouble getting them to idle with the stock ecu

we have quite a few on the Jun272 and they idle fine on the stock ecu so don't worry about that.
