what can i do to make more power

ok i would like to make more power but i still want to stay with the stock engine. The only think i think that is holding my back are my hks 272 cams.

so i plan on geting GSC s2 cams with there springs. I also want to get rid of the maff. What is need to do this? Just a 4 bar map sensor and what else? How well does this run on the stock ecu?

What else can i do to get some more power. My setup is in my signature.
Also there is no e85 here. So i must run 91 octane 99% of the time. Other times i can run q16. i plan to have 2 maps. 1 for 91 octane and 1 for race gas. Also keep in mine i do drive this car everyday 15,000+ miles a year and so far with over 100k miles its been super reliable.

Here are some pics of my car.

Turn up the boost.

That turbo is good over 35 psi, and will make over 600whp on race gas.

i know this turbo can make 700+whp at 40+ psi of boost on race gas. But i have a stock engine. I know i can run about 30psi on ras gas and make 500+whp.

but

How can i make more power on 91 octane, which is what the car is ran on 99% of the time. The only thing i can think of doing for more power are bigger cams and to get rid of the maff and convert to a map sensor setup.

You should be able to get 500 whp on 91 at around 26 psi or so. Cams will help you a lot though.

what about an octane booster? raise the octane 2 points and raise the boost a few psi then.
you'll just need to buy cases of the stuff

Buy a methanol injection setup. Then you can run a good deal more boost on pump gas.

Short route intercooler piping will help a bit. You'll have to get a mini battery kit though.
Meth injection will also be a significant help as the 91 that is available in cali is junk absolute crap.
Cams, springs and retainers will help quite a bit as well.
Ported intake manifold or a different intake manifold along with a 65 or 75mm throttle body.

I would go big and begin preparing to build the motor if I was you so that you can really take advantage of the turbo you have there.

+1 on a way shorter IC piping, that long setup is making your car work harder...

Like I said before the car is a street car. I also refuse to run any type of meth injection It my opinion it just not safe
And if you look at my sig I'm already running a ported buschur stock intake manifold and ported stock 65mm throttle body.

I also refuse to run a mini battery. J had one befor and they are junk and not ok for street cars I drive my car all day and run the started at least 20 times a day. I also have a full sound system in my car and I like to sit in my car with the engine off and listen to music.

cant tell if that intake is the k&n typhoon or the apexi but they're not great. your intake may be holding you up somewhat.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...t-results.html

i dont even own one but i know perrin intake is one of the best..... and you are correct on the assumption HKS 272s are milder 272s out there, and going SD and ditching your maf will free alil more power.

and as riceball777 said, get ported intake manifold and ported throttle body and that will help squeeze alil more power too.

Your not going to find any on e running 91 octane being able to run that much boost. Most tuners here tune pump gas maps to 23 psi max

Big turbos let you get away with murder even on low octane fuel. A couple gallons of 100 octane go a long way, but a competent tuner and SD will go further.

riceball, how long you had that turbo? how many miles you put on it? it seems nice that someone is dd a stock block 3586 for a lot of miles with no issues.
