God, that just ended any possibility of me purchasing anything that has to do with DynoFlash.

Perhaps thats why you don't have your own shop. I don't quite buy the whole eliminating overhead thing, esp. when people like Buschur with their reasonable prices can do the same thing.

i was running extreamly rich, i will have sheets up soon, and also i was tunning inside in a heated shop, was very warm and probably warmer inside then when Al did my brothers car, im only running 1psi more than him, but the xede kicks *** and keeps my boost up over 20 the whole time...exede all the way!!!!

I believe this guy that started the thread. His car has a means of raisinf the boost and the dyno flash does not. I'm glad he is spiking to 23 psi and dropping to 20, while the other car is at stock boost. If both of theswe runs were on the pruve dyno justr post the sheets and stfu. Also, Tell your bro to slap on a boost controller anouther shot. I bet Al will give him a good deal on the re-tune! That will end this thread. I'm sure it will meet/ exceed the XEDE numbers and a a sffer af ratio and with factory knock correction tables. I can't believe the vishnu cheerleaders who don't think about that last part. I want to see graphs and af ratios. And as far as the arguement of being able to tune it yourself, I doubt many members on this board are not qulafied to do so. Maybe they buy the exede and maybe not, but i bet they are the suckers who will pony up with more money to buy a "stage" package.

Al, you need to calm down. Posts that say "my product is by far the best !" are not called for in a technical forum.
This thread accomplished nothing but pit two setups against each other in a very non-professional manner. It proves nothing on either front as there are many variables that were not considered before the comparison was made.

First of all your Bro paid $450.00 for the Pruven special deal which is till running btw and INCLUDES up to an hour and a half of dyno time - - so for any fair comparision on the price front muct include the price of your dyno time
Al, the dyno time he paid for wasn't for tuning. It was simply a baseline to see how much power the car was putting down with the XEDE. That means it was an unnecessary cost that had no bearing on how the XEDE (or the car) actually performed.
Secondly - the exede has boost control which raises the boost. If you want to comapre HP you should really through a boost controller on your bro's car and then you'll see the 280 number is easily made. In fact many of my clients with similar mods are maxing out the stock injectors and hitting over 300 whp with similar mods - depends on the individual car.
Al-- Adding a manual boost controller to the reflash does not offer the same feature/function as the boost control system in the XEDE. First of all, an MBC cannot control boost a function of RPM. This means that it cannot allow for extra boost in the RPM bands where it is safe to run it or, conversely, lower boost in those bands where the car is more knock prone. Not until you get into the higher end (and big $$) EBCs like the S-AVC-R does one have such an RPM-dependant boost mapping ability.
Third - the Exede gets those figures by altering the factory knock protection functions so keep that in mind
Al-- You keep on bringing this feature up only to misrepresent it. First of all, you have no idea on how it works. This is because you have not mapped the XEDE's knock adjust maps. Nor do you know how the factory knock control system works. Will you concede, for even a moment, that perhaps that is a tiny chance that we know something that you don't on this subject? After all, we spent quite some time dialing in this knock adjust feature, which BTW, doesn't simply make the knock sensor less sensitive across the board. Doing this would actually have a negative impact on performance/power output due to something called knock hesterisis.
Finally - I would really like it if you would post up your dyno sheet a bear number means NOTHING - its the curve that counts and the area under the curve

These other companies that charge 4 and 500 for a through the mail reflash are really taking advantage of customers

Then why are you suggesting that Kevin's brother should now add an MBC to his reflash in order to "turn up the boost".
Thats my point - when you buy a tuning solution - piggy back - through the mail you can have problems and issues

Yes, because tuning stand-alones from scratch requires a bit of tuning experience. Experience which tuners such as Buschur, AMS, Extreme, and ourselves (among others, of course) have. The situation is very different with the reflash since you are relying on the factory ECU code to do 95% of the work.
BTW - I have tuned over 230 Evos so far - not one problem of any kind
Al-- The first car you Dynoflashed was on Sept. 30. This is 2.5 months ago. For someone who has/had another job and borrows another shop's dyno, this per day ratio is very impressive. Assuming you got up and running quickly from day 1, your numbers suggest and average of 4.3 cars/day per 5 day-per-week work week. How do you get all this time to post on the forum? Please let me know your time management secrets.
No one dosnt like my tunes - they all carry money back guarantees and no one has asked for their money back yet
Not to mention the dyno flashed cars are the fastest in the US - especially mine
