If you are going to use a GT2871 on a T3 manifold, I think you are nuts to be honest. I know you have the turbo already but I'd sell that and just put a FP Red or FP Black on the stock manifold, it will be faster for sure and cost you half of what the header kit and wastegate etc., is going to cost.

This guy is a riot. LOL What turbo is on the car now? If it is stock then leave it alone. You have a lot of research to do before you go around modding this car to what you think is tasteful and performance worthy.

As much I am not wanting to admit I'm thinking you are right. I was just trying to avoid having to sell the turbo seeing how I literally just bought it less than a month ago for my fwd eclipse format. Had the compressor housing and boost outlet pipe from edelbrock polished to smooth the casting inside But like you said probably gonna cost more the other way with less performance. Guess gonna have to research which turbo would be best for reliable 500 whp 93 octane only with my 10.5 pistons. dang this manifold set up idea thread just turned into me having to re think my whole setup. Guess its better now than having it all bolted on and " used ". sigh. Good points and advice though thanks.

Well possibly decided on the fp black. might as well make use of the internals I purchased I suppose lol. The whp goal I'll be shooting for once the engine is in the evo is 600 awhp on pump premium.

You are not going to make 600 whp here on our dyno on pump fuel, probably not on any turbo and for sure not a Red or Black.

I was reading this thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ay-office.html and wouldnt mind settling at right around 550 and going with a Gt35. Would a aftermarket intake manifold give me more gains compared to the ported stock this guy is using ? thanks.

You do realise you need a lot more than just a big turbo to make that kind of power right? You're looking at 10-15k to make it on pump...Actually probably more.

Turbo - 2k
Engine - 5k
Clutch - 2k
SMIM - 1k
FMIC - 1k
Head goodies - 1k
Tubular manifold - 1k
Misc - 1k +

And since you're asking Im gonna assume you cant do this all yourself.

Many hours of D.B's time - $$

I'm not a Fan of the GT28 (should have gone with a 30 at least...or an FP, but thats just me)... that asside there are many company's (such as the ones above) that mke really good tubular manifolds....i think cracking is the least of your worries...leave that to the Ebay stuff.

550 and under whp on our dyno you are best to use the stock ported manifold.

For the love of god, please take a step back and relax... stop dumping money on things and get a game plan going with Buschur since you are in Ohio, and let him guide you on what you need to hit the power goals you are aiming for...

Agreed,

Just do LOTS of searching on here and if you got the money drop it off at Buschur with a blank check and tell him what you want it to make or do
