Had this same issue... my front o2 went out about 4 months back due to bad initial tune. I am now going through a tank in 150 miles with basic mods(Cams, Intake, UICP, etc) and a back bumper that is solid black. I replaced the 02, got Fathouse to throw a tune on her and although she still runs a tad rich, I'm now a tad over 200 miles per tank.
Yeah it sucked, I think it was something lilke $250 for that thing! It was back in 2005. I had basic mods (exhaust, intake, 264/272 cams) and some old fashined d-flash tuning
I recently just got my tune redone with updates and even in a year and a half tuning has changed so much. My car feels amazing now!
