My friend was suggesting I can run lines from valvecover straight to a catchcan and have no returns. Can has to have a filter.

Yes it can be done. If you do it that method, make sure you plug the intake pipe so non registered air does not enter after the maf .

The problem with that is, there is a lot of oil vapors coming out. So the filter on the breather would get oily.

i'll give ya that... i have a factory routed weapon r CC so i really dont know... but i have seen dozens of people on here that just run a filter...
hell i broke the fitting off the valve cover and for nearly a month i ran with out anything... never dripped or left residue...

i have also seen a fella run a fuel filter it came off the valve cover to a lil cup thing with a filter on the other end... when he wanted to clean it he took it off and rinsed it with hot water the oposite direction.... clever if you ask me... but i'll stick to my weapon R

its the only way i would run it. if you route it to the turbo inlet, it will likely coat everything from the inlet all the way to your intake valves with oil after some time. no thanks.

I run dual -10an fittings from the valvecover to a dual inlet vented can. Seems to have helped a bit w/ crankcase pressure and free'd up some horsepower.

Agreed, just modified my valve cover to accept a -10 on the back side. Not the easiest task.
