well did some decibel loggin on my way to work this morning. using the Decibel meter pro on my iPhone it shows 3 readings peak, average and max

windows up at idle 68 average
windows up cruise (~3k rpm ~60mph) ~78 average
at idle ~20" away from muffler ~85 average

i'll redo this test tonight to show peak numbers too.

I did get the rattling under control. I adjusted the wastegate arm that actuates the valve. The rattle is just about gone.

I had to put a stock cbe due to tickets in my city. Thanks for posting up your setup. Did you Y the test pipe? That seems like the most logical place to put it.

I went to SoundPerformance.com and the piece you have they are selling for $399. That seems outrageous.

Anyhow, my db readings:
Tsudo 3" CBE
Perrin 3" DP
3" Test Pipe
95 db at idle 1000 RPM
100+ db at 3500 RPM

Stock CBE with stock cat
75 db at idle 1000 RPM
Lost 25 hp/tq and 700 RPM spool up

Idle A - weighted = 82 db
Idle C- weighted = 99db

3000 rpms
A - weighted - 83 db
C - weighted - 101 db

Test done with actual decibel meter.

I use the db volume app on my iPod touch. I get 40 db in a quiet room. 80 db in cabin idling, 90 db in cabin cruising (drivers seat) which goes up to 95 db rear seat (3500 rpm highway with windows up). I need to make my car quieter for sure. ~20" at idle the exhaust produces 94 db.
