This turbo must be SO BADASS that everyone that installs it completely forgets they even posted a thread about it.....probably because they were so blown away by its awesomeness they came to the conclusion that modding the car further was not needed.

I'm still in for results on this little guy, sounds like it should be an awesome bang for the buck upgrade for the stock appearing crowd.

Haha, I was just thinking the same thing. So on to the results of this car, an 05RS. It had a stock 9 turbo and all that was changed was the turbo and a tiny bit of porting. This was my friend's car that had just been in a wreck also. The previous tuner was Tamer and the new tuner is Tom at VR-Speed. Tom wasn't super happy with the results so he didn't want to make a thread so I'm just updating this thread. The car was around 320/296 on the stock 9 which is very very low. Tamer said it was over 375, sent me a graph at 375 etc but when I sent the same log to Tom he sent me a new graph. So...the numbers were 360/370 at 29psi. Tom said the car is having issues and it should be able to take more timing but it's knocking.

The car had a few issues like removing emissions stuff but not disabling solenoids that Tamer never did, also he had it running 16-17 degrees of timing where as now it's at 9 degrees at redline. Also the car had just been in a front end collision and the radiator fan shroud had cut a MAF wire and cut through all but one strand of copper on a second wire. I had just noticed it when checking under the hood (something the insurance adjuster totally missed) and ordered a new pigtail. His AirflowHz at idle was 62.75 and now it's down to 43 so he wants a few more pulls to try to adjust a few things and see if there's anything left in it. Also there will be an e85 tune coming as soon as I can get the car back from the owner (he is tuning illiterate and has no laptop). He's very happy with it right now even though it isn't maxed and still has issues but right now it's knock free, afr in the mid 11's across the board

I've seen the graph the results are very good for the issues the car is having, power does not drop off a cliff at redline it just levels out at 6200-7200 rpms, and it's hitting 300 lb/ft at around 3200 rpm, I dont know the mods the car has but it has a fat powerband from 4-7+ RPM, and no I wont send anyone the graph It's what the FP White should have been.

It's a good upgrade coming from a stock 8 turbo when your on a budget. Got tuned at Evolution dynamics in TX and made 381hp/393fltb on E85 at 28-29psi on a mustang dyno. We were shooting for 30psi but the stock 9 DV was giving us problems. Kevin did a great job.

Mods
FP71HTA
GSC s2 with upgraded valve springs
Megan o2
880cc injectors
walbro fuel pump
Ebay 3in intercooler
Injen lower intercooler pipe
Perrin 3in downpipe
Grimspeed ebc
Samco intake/perrin filter
3in apexi exhaust with magnaflow muffler replacing cat.
Stock clutch, stock motor, stock head(except for the cams)

Finally we get some results! aren't 880s too small for e85?

Very solid numbers on a mustang dyno also. Does it flow a lot more than the evo9 turbo?

Here a comparo at 30 psi E85 mustang dyno, bigger FMIC more mods.

Kevin didn't mention anything about running out of injectors. we were just having issue with the stock 9 DV not holding boost past 28psi(uncrushed). From what i have been told by FP it should outflow the old school FP green. My setup is not the best and i'm sure i could get more power with some better parts/mods but for the money(650 + 100 core charge) the hta71 is great.
