What is this part?

I noticed this part is damaged and I'll need to replace it. What is it?

Is it an oil pressure sensor? temp sensor? what?

Its near the passenger side wheel well above the oil filter.

I used these photos to kinda "zoom in" on it so you can see what I'm talking about.

Looks like an oil pressure gauge wire. A Defi too judging by that one piece.

So ur thinkin there's no ECU feedback or usage of its signal other than to supply the oil pressure gauge?

I've done a little homework and that "piece" that this threads into looks to be a Greddy oil filter sandwich.

So I'm guessing this wire feeds either the oil temp or the oil pressure gauge in the car.

As you can see from the pics the car is all torn apart so I can't exactly fire it up to tell which gauge is dead.

It looks like this product is discontinued so I'll have a lot of trouble replacing it. All I need is the wire.

Can't u just trace the wire to the gauge? Depending on what the other end looks like, most oil temp sensors are the same.

Next time Im around the car I might.

I'm kinda trying to do as much as I can to figure this out remotely as I have to drive somewhere far away to work on this car.

I pretty much know what it is. Its either one sensor or the other. but from the looks of it this whole product line is discontinued.

My real problem is finding a place to buy the wire.
