I'd only do a 2.4 over this IF I had no core.

Omg that is horrible, I think I would totally literally cry knowing that I don't have another 6k to fix the problem caused by a .15cent screw, sorry to hear.

I assembled the head, cams, lifters, rockers, shields, cam sensor, thermostat housing, intake manifold and throttle body today. Shortblock may go together tomorrow. Then I need a bay to put it in the car. I want the car back together SO bad.

I remember when this was happening in the DSM community 4-5 years ago and I went out and checked mine and sure enough, it was starting to back out, even with loctite. I ended up doing something else to keep it from coming loose but I can't remember what it was. I sold that setup a while back and went back to a stock TB. Sorry to hear about the damage, that's definitely a worse case scenario.

Joyce, I think you should read the thread closer. The gains are not good, that's why I said I wouldn't do it.....

Sorry Dave I meant if the gains were so good on the 2.3 and I have the money I wouldnt worry about not having a core...

ıt happened to one of my friend on hıs k20a2,screw from the bdl 70mm tb catched by a valve he was really lucky

checked my TB screws yesterday. they were still tight as can be but i took them out and red loctited them anyway
