I believe Dave said they will be using "Red Loctite" for future BR 65mm Throttle Bodies.

You should look at the TB anyways just to be safe. Maybe use more Loctite.

Correct me if im wrong Dave, just trying to help out.

this happened to a buddy of mine as well on a stock motor. It destroyed the block, head, pistons, and everything.

We changed the type of Loctite we use to a stronger grade. Of the probably 1,000 EVO throttle bodies we've made this is the first incident.

The car will go back together with our fab'd intake, that will be the main change.

when i remove my upper pipe from the throttle body and I check to see if the screws are tight and if they are tight should i just leave it as is or do you recommend undoing them and red loctite them? asking for your own professional opinion / advice here. the TB is about a year old.

i am super picky about anything i love safetywire, locktite anything that will keep my system together, reduncancy is your friend,,, thats where the 271 Red comes to play, if i ever want them screws to come out i want them to come out when i tell them to not when they want to, ill use a heat gun to heat up the hardware to soften the loctite and back off the screws beacuse the Red 271 is a permanent L-Tite

believe me the red will not come loose at all, we use it in aresopace space and aviation the heat and loads are much more extreme than a 800 WHP car

If you ordered yours last Wednesday then you should be good. All throttle bodies assembled since this happened have been done with Red.

It won't hurt anyone checking theirs to take the screws out and put Red back in place.

I don't want this to happen to someone else but then again I'm not trying to instill panic either.
