Properly built car with a FP Green or Red will get you into the 9's on E85 in street trim no problem and still spool close to stock.

i completely agree with this. i havent gotten to drive my 6262 evo yet but i will next week. very much looking forward to a "laggier turbo" for part throttle driving. driving my gfs 8 is terrible. its very hard to stay in negative vaccum all the time. she gets terrible gas milage as well....
to the op i was a fan of the fp turbos but chose to go with a turbo for this particular reason and also so i can have the top end pull of a big turbo. the stock frames just dont have the same raw pull that a larger turbo does. i saw a local evo with a 2.3l hta82r hitting full boost at 4400rpm revving to 8200rpm. so the lag isnt that much different. still a pretty broad powerband to rev the turbo out.

who buys an evo to worry about MPG? Buy a honda and be done with it if your worried about mpg. I stay out of my boost all the time with my setup, pretty easy shifting under 3k and staying in vaccum. I get about 300miles out of a tank on the hwy, and about 200miles out of a tank city.

To the OP, all depends on what you want. Bolt on turbo's are simple and easy and proven. Send yours in and spend 1k and your ready to go. 6262 or bigger you need to buy a kit or piece it together yourself......all in all you will spend 3k or more for a 6262 setup. its what you want.

I dont understand why people just throw a big turbo setup on there car without doing it in stage's. Start small and work your way up...if you havent ran 11s yet, then why buy a big turbo? doesnt mean its gonna put you there.

The 6235R is the 6265? I don't think so because they make the 6235R only in BB and 6265 can come non bb/bb so i dont think its the same turbo? The 6235R has a Garret center section making it similar to the hta86 or am I wrong?

Its all preference, some people like the stock look with fast spool and some like the big turbo with more topend power with a nice looking manifold/wastegate.

I personally like big turbos because the spool isnt so fast which then prevents so much stress in the low rpms on the drive train due to high tq at low rpms. I remember breaking tcase/ multiple transmissions on stock turbo and never yet once on the big turbo

While I find this hard to believe, it is important to get all of the facts straight before calling him out. For example according to your sig your only running 23lbs. I dont mean any disrespect but a lot of people running that turbo are pushing about 30lbs so full boost is different for every person. What about the cams, size of the intercooler, intercooler pipes etc...

As you can see there are many variables in this equation so calling bs out of nowhere isnt very productive.

Your Correct:

A 6235R is just like a HTA86 except you substitute the HTA86 Wheel for a the Billet 62 Wheel...

They are very good, some guys are getting 700HP+ on them with better spool than the Cast Wheel 35R...

For a full weight Street Car I dont think it makes sense to go bigger than a 35R based Turbo:

My Pick of the bunch:
HTA3582R = 59mm ind / 82mm exd Billet wheel by FP (Best 35R for an Street Evo)
PTE6235R = 62mm ind / 82mm exd Billet Wheel by Precision (Best Bang for Buck & reliability vs Cereamic bb 6262 or 6265)

then you get the Bigger Power Wheels:
GTX3582R
HTA3586R

ps. the PTE 6262 and 6265 both have larger Exhaust Wheels than the GT35 based Turbos so are a bit laggier...

.

So what would be better to go with for the street a hta3582r and what could i pull out the stock bottom end before going built?

I have a AGP 50 trim dbb water and oil cooled turbo new and it has .63 exhaust would this turbo be suitable for the evo? Because if i can i will use it for the time being

Fore Sure HTA82 = awsome streetcar, You can run it on the stock bottom end it would be safer than a FP Red or FP Black as it will spool a bit slower and make less torque... nb. FP Black use same deisgn Compressor Wheel HTA82 just in reverse rotation for stock frame...

But to get the most out of it I would recommend a built bottom end, stronger Rods are a must on an EVO...

Yes a 50Trim is a great start Turbo for a Evo - will spool nice and capable of 500WHP...

Later on you can just swop it out for a HTA82 with minimal Work.

Good enough to run high 9's on a factory shortblock in a 3,000lb daily driver.

Im looking to add the proper supporting mods to go with the turbo as well. Im looking for a low 11 sec car daily driving and pump gas with meth. What would be the best all around turbo and id i want to go for more in the future would support my goal? Thanks for your input!!
I'd go with a FP Red if you want a good daily driven 11 sec car. You will spend alot less in the end.
