On my old car (99 GS-T 19C turbo) I ran a EBC for about 3 year it worked great faster spool than a MBC but then it started freaking out on me so after months of trying to trouble shoot I switched to a Hallman MBC and loved it not to hard to install and held boost rock solid.

I did notice that turbo lag on the EBC was alot less due to the fact that an EBC holds the wastegate door fully closed until full boost it reached.

As for reflashes Dyno Flash sounds great but I really don't want to was until they come to Colorado as for the mail order options "Mail Dyno Flash & P2" I think that I am leaning towards Works P2 since it will hold 19 pounds all the way to redline "no need for a boost controler" and can not be detected by the dealer.

By the way I had an HKS EVC IV

Reviews I have read say it does what advertised with only a slight spike to 20 before settling down to 19.
I use to run 19psi on my Eclipse and with the proper supporting mods 19psi to redline is plenty of fun for the street.

Like I said before I really like how Dyno-Flash can be tuned to your specific car they are really making some impressive numbers but when is comes to the mail-in reflashes the P2 sounds very tempting since I can up my boost and not worry about the dealer seeing a boost controler.

(but if dyno-flash deciedes to come to Colorado i would be very interested)
BTW - all evos run a bit differently - some of our tuned cars hold 21 psi to red line - it all depends on the individual car and the timing we can run

I - personally - are more interested in the "feel" of the car and the whp than the psi it holds

We don't recomend the "pill" alteration as it leads to boost spiking in high gears on the highway

The new MR uses a hose mod

Forgive my ignorance but I'm a little confused. So if I get a mail order dynoflash and a MBC then it will pull just as hard at 6-7K as it does at 5k? If so that's what I'm looking for. I would love a custom tune but looks like I'll have no such luck in my area. So Al, what about later mods? I don't plan on making my EVO a monster but I would like maybe an exhaust(turbo back) and a few other minor things, I just want it to pull hard all the way to redline. Will I need a reflash everytime I add a mod? If so what is the charge for a reflash? Thank you.

What is a P2? Guess I need to go to their website and check it out.

as to the others correcting me above:

I was stating that it would be a good idea to do a couple of mods 1st then the dynoflash to take full advantage of those mods.

It would be counterproductive and not fully taking advantage if you got Int/Ex then went for a Dynoflash, then a few weeks later added cams and a larger FMIC running the old tune.

Before i ramble on, lemme just say i personally would do all the mods i can afford for a set time. Like "this year i can afford intake/exhaust/cams" then get the dynoflash. Then maybe down the line do another set of mods and get another flash. Im not saying the old flash will not work with the new mods.....you just may not be taking full advantage of them.

You got the idea ! MBC and flash is a great combo

Try my flash if your not convinced its a great set up - you can simply get a 100% refund and a flash back to stock

EJGS-T,
Ok I went to Works page and checked out what your talking about(keep in mind I don't know much)and I don't understand why you would choose that over Dynoflash. I did see that the P2 holds your boost to redline but otherwise aren't they pretty much the same thing except the Works flash is $500, P2 is an additional $100 where as Dynoflash is $199 shipped. Understand I'm not trying to argue, just trying to learn.
Thanks,
John
