Just installed my TRE Maxx Lock diff with side cover and sight glass. So far I am pretty impressed. Will know more when I run the car at an AutoX this weekend. Definitely feels like on throttle understeer has disappeared.

Jon seems super stressed out as of lately and super abrasive to deal with. His customer service is terrible and it's very difficult to get a hold of him. It's like talking to an angry sailor with ADHD IF you ever do get a hold of him. Jon if you do happen to read this you should probably hire somebody with people skills since you seem to be severely lacking them and that will return emails and answer phone calls.

For the actual product i can't speak as of yet but i will hopefully find out soon...Wish me luck i'll need it.

I talked to Jon late last week and was very pleasant. He even took the time to pull apart my rear diff to check it out quick with me on the phone. I have nothing but good things to say about Jon thus far. From what I know (which isn't much), he is a one or two person operation. You have to understand in cases like that its going to be hard to contact someone; you can't cut metal, measure, rebuild etc and take calls all at the same time. I'd just suggest calling on different days and at differing times to try to catch him while he is in his office or has the phone on him.

Last weekend I went up to TRE to pick up my rear Diff, T-case and Transmission. Jon was super busy but still took the time to show me what was wrong and why replaced all the parts. Jon has always been pleasant with me on the phone as well.

Like i said,

Jon is a one map Operation (plus a helper some times)...it can be a bad thing (long wait times, hard to reach etc) but it is also a very good thing (high level of consistent quality)

thanks for the reassuring words as i have sent him several emails that weren't replied to and numerous phone calls different dates and times since april 12th to April 20th i've TRIED to call him 32 times and i've been able to get a hold of him twice. I haven't drove my car in over a month and a half so i'm a bit anxious to drive it seeing it's track season and the weather is better. The first time i spoke to him he was pleasant to deal with but this last time i spoke to him he was super short and grouchy.

I understand he's basically a 1 man show but somebody else mentioned he's super busy with race season.. well all the more reason he should hire somebody else to do the tedious tasks such as providing customer service (answering/returning phone calls, responding to emails, etc... Basic things such as responding to an email to find out where i need to send him money was a 4 day process.

I'll just chalk it up as he was pmsing today and hopefully i won't really have to interact with him again. Crossing my fingers hoping my rear diff is as good as he and everybody else make them seem.

I'm using the stock ones

I had to call call Jon 3-5 times a day before I got a pick up and things ended up being very complicated and there was a huge mix up with my diff as I stated in my review....eventually it was resolved and the truth is I am happy with the end product and on a personal level I understand Jon but looking at him as a business.....he needs to have some one maning the phone / e-mail at the very least.

people always like to say "you get what you pay for"

and I guess in this case you really do...

JON's max lock service is CHEAP for what you get. there has to be a catch right?......well the catch is with what his charging I don't think he has much money to spare on hiring some extra help
(other places may charge a bit less but wont do so much work to the diff)

but in the end the product is worth every penny.

p.s
My diff was out for 6-7 weeks.
