Question clutch noises

the problem i am having may not actually be a problem, but i think it is; at first it was only once in a while, but now it's pretty constant. when i downshift, by that i mean only moving the linkage, not re-engaging the clutch there is a strange vibration. by strange i mean it doesn't follow the changing drivetrain speed or rpm change. it sounds more like a large servo more than anything else i can think of. it seems like that little bit of energy that builds from the new synchro is sent to the clutch assembly, and then i get that noise.

any clues?

does anyone know anything about this
