I think the Exedy twin chatter is partially the fault of the driver, mine rarely chatters, same with the cars I tune that have them. P.S - I've driven my car plenty of miles in a day and never notice any leg fatigue from clutching.

I wont be launching it every other traffic light but I will take it to the dragstrip every now and again, maybe two times a year, and I don't beat on it but I have to go to the track to settle a score w a Guy I work with who brags about his mustang cobra, I call it the slowbra. So I just want a tame clutch, that's not too jerky, will handle my power and feels smooth, don't mind a little tough pedal weight but could not stand it to be chattery or noisy.

I love my HDSS, but it has lockout issue at high RPM. So I would hate for you to buy it and find out on the track.

I have Exedy twin, I can't hear any chatter, easier to drive then my old school ACT2600, I love it. My advice...get a louder exhaust and you wont hear all the little noises. Should drown out the sound of your GF Bi***ing about the noises too. No high RPM lock out FTW!! 8500rpm redline, shifts smooth as butter.

From what I hear the lock out issues commonly result from installation issues with the shaft getting bent and acts old style tob, which most recommend OEM. I do have a loud exhaust but as a mechanic w ocd I pay close attention to noises and anything out of the norm I need to investigate. I swear its a pretty close 50/50 w act and exedy. I do like acts price and quieter operation. PS my girlfriend would never ***** in my evo, especially about it. You don't disrespect my girl "the evo"

They work great, but aren't durable. It only takes one bad launch (by an overzealous co-driver...) to kill that clutch.

Mine lasted about 6k, was great for DD just don't expect to use it aggressively at the track.

i had the act 6 puck with hd pp. worst clutch ever. constant lockout in third and it did have some chatter. switched to quatermaster and wont look back. if u plan on hitting 400tq then b prepared to hear chatter of a multi disc, cause no single puck is gonna handle it for long.

If you what twin disc with no chatter then get OS Giken, its a little better than Exedy Twin, downside, difficult to get rebuild parts when wore out, especially with Japan's current situation. Exedy has chatter but very minimal and when car is warmed up it goes away.

I've been considering my choices as well since my stocker is starting to slip now that I'm making more power.

I'm planning to stay below 400awhp and 375awtq with my 9 as my daily driver when possible. I hate driving my truck .

I was thinking about the RRE no name clutch. I heard they last long and are a great DD clutch with 400-450 holding capacity. I wanted the Exedy twin but it's just too much money right now. I want to be back up with the nice weather coming. The HDSS is a close second but I heard the RRE is better with regards to lockout. Any thoughts?
