Like others have said, ACT HDSS. If you ever plan on making over 450whp, I'd just go ahead and get the Exedy HD Metallic twin disk. PM me if you want to order a clutch and I'll get you some prices!

ACT HDSS here, 400+ awhp, no noticeable chatter and no lockout issues here. I will be going to an Exedy twin for my next clutch just for longevity (and higher power levels) but I'm happy with the ACT.

DO NOT GO ACT!....

I had the XTHD with the 6 puck sprung hub and prolite flywheel... worked great. Got 2200 miles on it after a 600 mile break in and PERFECT install, went to launch it and it welded itself together....everything, the PP the disc flywheel, the whole works... Mind you, i KNOW how to launch, both me and my roomate have evo's and have been running different setups for ages.... yea. garbage within 30 days of purchase. Sent it in to act because they said they would be able to cover it because it had to be a manufacturers defect. So i chased the mouse for weeks to figure out the processing shiping pictures faxes and emails later... and they pretty much told me that my 350WHP evo, must have exceeded the limitations of this 725 ft/lb capable "race application only" complete setup. So there u have it. JUNK.

After i heard back from them they said they would not cover anything and wanted me to pay them to ship it back to me....my own parts. and offered to charge me to "salvage" them and refurbish and resurface thingssss....lolz what a waste of money/time/work/excitement. To say the least.

now im out the 1200 dollars i spent of the F*&*(* POS. and need a DIFFERENT clutch...again.

Bringjng this thread back just because I still have the question after searching for a while....my dd wont see over 400hp/tq and really need to get a clutch asap. Help me out with getting one with minimal chatter and a stock-ish pedal feel. Also im still on the fence about an act because of the high rpm lockout.

Chatter isn't as bad as people make it out to be. After two horrible ACT trials my slight twin chatter just reminds me how sweat of a clutch I have installed in my car. At the end of the day you are driving an evo not a cadillac so expect some noise. Between an exhaust and your radio you will barely hear anything. If you can drop the coin go OS Giken STR Twin as I have it and it is hands down the best clutch I have driven. Ultra smooth up and down shifts and the pedal feel is softer than stock. We all had a laugh about it when I first got it installed. 9k miles on it so far with around 70 launches and it is holding up perfect. Don't risk an ACT disaster like the rest are telling you. The smartest investment for your evo is a clutch. It is a horrible feeling paying $1,200 for clutch and install then finding out it ruined your car. That happen to me twice.

The new Quartermaster 8 leg street twin looks to be a great clutch. It just came out though, so there is no info on long term durability, let alone early reviews.

It's the Gruppe-S flywheel that came with their ACT package.

ACT HDSS

Feels like a stock clutch, little chatter. Chatter is common if you dont replace/resurface stock flywheel.

I'm running a Exedy Twin HD. 12,000 miles on her, 6 launches from the 2 step which I believe is set at 6,000. can't remember. I don't ever remember chatter from the clutch, but it seal barks almost every time I'm pulling out from a stop. That does get annoying to me, but I'll deal with it to have power to the ground. 360hp/320tq on MD. Near stock feel in the pedal. Doubt you would notice a difference.

thats what i have, not too shabby, im at 70k installed just under 20k when the first clutch went.. wife didnt do so well w/ the stock clutch.. this ones been holding...altho since she shifts so slow i can tell the flywheel has a "hot spot" so i get a lil slight slip/screetch every now and then

I'm looking for a clutch, too. When you say it feel like stock, do you mean the pedal pressure is just as light or are you talking about its engagement, or both? Thanks.
