Hallman MBC Issue.. Cant turn boost down
I have a Hallman MBC and cannot seem to turn the boost down. its hitting 25-26 now and i want to turn it down to 23. i have done like 2 full turns and still nothing. could this be the mbc itself or maybe just a bad spring that needs to be swapped for heavy duty?? Any info would help. Thanks guys

Swapping in a heavier spring would worsen your problem. It would take more psi to compress the spring.
If your wastegate is opening at all, the ball is not stuck.
Have you recently installed an O2 Housing?
Has your car been sitting all winter?
One other possibility is a wastegate actuator that is bypassing air, not allowing the wastegate to fully open.

I had a similar problem when I picked my car from a shop, no matter what boost stayed way up... Turned out to be they installed it back wards!! All got fixed after changing the hoses.
Good luck

The nipples screw into the housing and are somewhere between 10-14mm so just unscrew the one on the end slowly while holding the unit upside down. Once it comes out careful not to lose the o-ring and turn it over in your hand so the ball/spring fall out, viola. Make sure you install it the same way it came out, spring goes in first then ball (if I recall correctly)

looks like the insides are probably alright... i tried to turn it a bit more today and the top came right off.. i think the reason why it wasnt responding was because i was just unscrewing the top. i tightened it down and then unscrewed while pulling upward(to make sure the threads caught) and then tested it and it seemed to work. do you guys know if there is anyway to really tighten this top down to make sure or should i just let it be? Thanks.
