Hissing sound after new clutch and flywheel install.
Hissing sound after new clutch and flywheel install.
Hi guys,
I just installed a new act clutch, preassure plate and flywheel and now when I release the pedal I can hear a hissing sound. Once the clutch is fully released you can no longer hear it. The car has less than 500 miles on the new parts and I haven't done any hard pulls on it. What could this be?
Thanks in advance.

I've heard clutches make the "hissing" noise before. The ones on the shelby GT500 are crazy loud!
If you aren't having any issues with the clutch I wouldn't sweat it to much. I'm guessing you went with a puck style clutch? Different clutch materials can make different sounds. my .02
