supercharger whine

I just installed a tial bov and a new boost controller all of a sudden. Under fool boost instead of the high pitched hiss it sounds like a supercharger whine now? The tial isn't leaking and neither is the piping....any thoughts?

Well I would check for boost leaks first off... I had this happen to my srt-4, turns out the compressor wheel was pretty busted up. Take a small mirror and check the fins on the wheel. Hope this helps...

Open turbo? Well, if you are 100% the blades arent damaged, I would return everything back to stock. Start back at square 1.

And yes just checked blades are good .. I barely drive the car so if I had the choice I would have a filter on already I finally ordered one

Hmm, I would double check the BOV... some combination of parts made my BBK Full and old Synapse BOV sound like a supercharger exactly. Very prominent and loud whine during spool. I assumed at the time it was simply the billet compressor wheel. However, I noticed recently when I replaced my BOV due to an unrelated issue with a newer Synapse BOV that the high pitched whine has gone and now I have a more traditional HUGE inrush of air sound. I also seem to hold boost more steadily... my guess is that my older BOV had a leak causing the audible sound.

you obviously have a boost leak somewhere if its only making this noise under "fool" boost
