update. my coils and wires came in from mitsubishi but im still waiting on new plugs from extremepsi. i put them on and ran the car anyways just to see what happens. only idle the car though did not drive it. the misfires improved dramatically but everyso often it will still misfire. sometimes back to back sometimes it takes several seconds to happen again. Like i said waiting for the plugs and then ill see what happens

Ok so I put everything in and tapped the spark plugs. Went to start it up and drive. Just driving around it drives fine but now when I floor it from 5k to 7k it starts to misfire. Also the cyl 1 misfire code came back on so now what's my next step? Injectors? Tune possibly? All I have is a walbro 255 Perrin intake and a hks catback

well since on your plug wires run cylinders 1&3, 2&4, your best bet is swap your #1 injector to the #3 spot, and see if your misfire code jumps to cylinder 3....if thats the case a fresh set of 1k cc injectors get the latency and voltage done on them correctly then other then that you should be set....your map might have to be retuned as well... it is a possibility the whole problem has been the map itself, timing cells not smooth, too much timing can misfire, not enough timing too rich too lean afr...best bet is to get the tune looked at, and have a wideband on the vehicle to find out your true afr.

I swapped injectors and it didn't misfire or throw a cel for awhile. Yesterday it finally threw a cel and it was cyl 2 misfire now. Originally that injector was cyl 1 so I will have to buy injectors. Bad news is at the moment and for a little while I I've no money oh well

that is true that its bad news, but however you have found the issue thats part of what the car culture is about, finding whats causin the issue with how it drives, accelerates etc, so you found it now you know what you need to do, so buy at minimum 1000cc injectors, have them scaled properly, then it should idle almost like stock. good luck
