i just noticed that at the end of my intake manifold i have an open nipple? next to the oil dip stick there's a brass bracket that holds an electrical harness and what looks like a nipple for vac or something, can someone please tell me what this is for

i been looking for intake manifold diagrams but i cant find anything that tells me what its for

My guess is the MAP Sensor?

That's your fuel pressure regulator solenoid. Post a pic of that area...but I'm guessing it was bypassed.

 

It might be your fuel pressure solenoid. I see a lot of guys not running that vacume.

 

i have a check engine light on and i got the code pulled - p300 / random multiple misfires im not sure if this is whats throwing the code or not?

can i t-tap into the fuel pressure regulator vac line for boost gauge reading?

which line do you tap into off the manifold?

my FPR vac line go's to a nipple on the top left side of the manifold, i found a engine bay picture of the nipple that my FPR vac line is hooked up too but the picture show it different, the top left nipple on the intake manifold jumps rite over to the nipple on the side of the manifold thats on the brass bracket i spoke about in the beginning of the thread and the FPR vac line go's under the manifold in the picture, im so confused rite now

 

Really any vacuum hose will work. Just pick one. You are not going to mess anything up.

Cap it if you want but your misfire is prob your plugs... How many miles you have on them? What is the gap?

spark plug are new but i pulled and checked them anyways, i disconnected the battery to see if the engine light would go any but it didnt

Take your plugs out and check the gap. What spark plugs are you running? This will cause the problem also. If you are not sure how to do this, please have a certified mechanic do this for you. As for the Check engine light. Do you mean P0300? That stats a random misfire, commonly caused by a faulty coil, spark plugs, o2 sensor, egr, or fuel injectors. My guess is, that your egr vacume hose has popped off. Are you running a test pipe(catlytic converter)? If so, you will need a cel fix or have a tuner disable this o2 for you?
