Help with engine rod bearing clearance
that polished area means nothin with the heat from the bottom end and the temp of the oil its gonna leave a polished look on the bearings as well as the crank, now if the bearing or the crank was startin to look like for example a titanium exhaust that looks like it has burnt tips then that would mean excessive heat which will eventually lead to a destroyed rod bearing, spun rod bearing, or worse. His doesnt look bad, make sure since you pulled all your rods, that you retorque them to spec, and also in the proper order, since you pulled your rods with the engine still in the car you might have to rotate the crankshaft so that way each cylinder will have the rods at BDC...bottom dead center that way they will sit flush on the crank to allow for the proper torque to them. good luck man
