cracked rings???

As the title says i was taking the 2nd ring off of the weisco pistons and the ring snapped! Has anyone heard of the rings being this brittle? After using this rings/ pistons combo in over 4 motor build i have never had this happen. Am I beat or is this something that could be taken care of from the dealer as I bought them a week ago

Let me guess you tryed to take the 2nd ring off all at one time, instead of moving it up to ring land 1 then off.

Nah, I actually moved the ring up the piston... after looking at the ring more closely it looks like the breaking point of the ring had a weird marking on it. Ill post pics later

Rings crack very easy if you don't use a ring expander tool.
