OP: maybe a bad ISC- idle speed control
I'm assuming if I was to disconnect the positive, and if the car dies, I most likely have a bad alternator.

As for the ISC, I'm going to have to do some research. I've never heard of that. Where is it located? Or is this in the tune?

Well, I got my new battery and wideband sensor installed. Cranked it up and the idle was really high again. The tank was about empty so I took your advice and ran down to the gas station with a 5 gallon can and got some gas. Fired right up and idled much better, but its still high. I drove the car for 30 min with only a slight little hiccup while cruising, but I was using an older set of plugs. The issue now is under wide open throttle, my afr's are around 12.6 - 13, which scares me. This is what my wideband was reading before I replaced the sensor, and still is with the new sensor. The car runs good, but I need to get my idle adjusted and figure this lean wot issue. I'm starting to lean towards this being an issue with my Full Blown pump hanger and both pumps running all the time. I'm wondering if I need to do the Ted B fix, in the thread linked below. I think my issue with the car missing was partially due to running on low fuel. My fuel pressure is also about 50 psi when idling, but not sure what it is while cruising or wide open throttle.

boy I just heard last week about some issue with the early 2003's and the venting on the fuel tank, I think it also supposedly caused a 'slow fill' at the gas pumps and there might have even been a TSB on it. Basically in your case if you can't pull enough air into the tank to displace all the fuel you're pumping out now with the twins then you create a vacuum in the tank.. if you start having that trouble again when the tank gets a little lower check into that..

Well, dropped the car off over a week ago to have my problem checked out again and finally got the car back yesterday. It appears that I had several problems. The ECU had some dead injector drivers and for some reason only acted up after the car was nice and warmed up. They repinned the injectors and reconfigured the injector phasing so all were firing correctly. The chassis ground from the engine harness was also crap. The ran the harness ground directly to the battery and also removed my hyper force ignition system since I'm using the COP.

After reading Ted B's thread about drilling out the T on the full blown pump hanger I decided to have them do this as well. This dropped my fuel pressure at idle from about 50 psi, with both pumps on, to 31 psi. Is this acceptable? The car is tuned for 26psi and appears to be running great. It does not appear to be running lean but I noticed it hit 30 psi today so I think I will turn down the boost a touch since Im only running pump 93. This morning it only hit 26psi.

I'm still a little concerned about the 30 psi at idle.

They also still think my wideband reading is off by 1 point, on the lean side. I wish I could confirm this somehow.

Edit: Actually boosted to 32psi last night in second gear. It busted up a little and sounded like I either hit fuel cut or timing was pulled.

Have you pulled your injectors? Had some similar symptoms, replaced plugs a couple times because they looked like yours, pulled the injectors and was not happy with what I saw. I'm running E-85 and the black goo got me. I see your fuel system and I assume you're running ethanol also.

Yes, they pulled the injectors. Cylinders 2 & 3 stop firing all together before. They are all good now. I'm running pump 93, not E-85.

So did this fix your issues? Did u get retuned? Were u able to hit target boost after all this?
