I have a qtp on my car right now. the thing is... when you get it tuned, you have to choose to get it tuned with it open or closed. I decided to get it tuned closed, since that is what I would be using most often. I am at two fuel maps though and that's why... didn't wanna have like 4 fuel maps or something so I just left it closed. If you plan on running it open all the time then have it tuned with it open. Just something to keep in mind is that you probably won't have it open all the time because it is so loud. but that would be fine for modding as long as you got a boost controller too. I highly recommend a GM-3port for that option. good luck & happy modding.

love it

i have the qtp cutout and i love it with my green and the cut open it makes such a sick noise. i got mine tuned with the cutout open since i rarely shut it only when driving through my neighbor hood late a night and by cops or ****. i would highly reccomend it sicne it's a full restrictionless exhaust sytem for 350 bones. just make sure if you order it you also order the turndown from qtp otherwise you will be dumping serious heat right at ur car. and as for back pressure when you have a forced induction motor it is not needed

Yes def tune the car with the DP open. I t would be wise to just have 2 maps , one open and one closed. If you end up needing a race gas map the sure as hell tune for power with it open. You will likely see 2-3 psi more of boost from open to close depending on what particular exhaust system you run.
I run a bone stock catback with a 3" DMH Perfromance E-Cut out. Cops tend to pull people over for and hand out exhaust tickets like its going out of style, instead of worrying about the other crime and drugs they like to hassle " import" cars. Hence the whole reason for the super stealth look or I'd say run a 4" catback lol.

Everyone has a friend that cries about back pressure.

do you want noise or get what you paid for. get it tuned opened.

what back presure??? Turbo cars do not need back pressure, the bigger the exhaust the better the flow and better spool THATS IT. Your turbo is what makes the pressure.

I recommend doing a search on Youtube for "QTP" to hear how the beast sounds open. You will not be disappointed.

I postes some logs and virtual dynos of my QTP downpipe/DMH cutout quite a while back in the ECUFlash forum if you can find it. I would highly recommend the DMH cutout to the QTP (you can google/youtube it), but the QTP downpipe is great.

You definitely have great gains on it, but it's just too loud for me. I think I had it open once or twice in the last year or two. Since I moved to CA as well, I will most likely be selling the setup once I find a nice fitting downpipe for an ACD car...just haven't researched yet.
