gearbox warning and "boom" sound during shifting

hello guys.. i am new here.. i drive a 2006 evo 9 and i'm wondering if any of you know why is my gearbox warning indicator flashes on and off? it cruises normally when the indicator flashes or when its not flashing.. and sumtimes there is a "Boom" sound at the rear area when i shift or when i hit the clutch during traffic jam. please help

There's a "check engine light", but I've never heard of or seen a gearbox warning light.

edm evo 9s have a temp sensor on the gearbox that can trigger a CEL when the tranny temp goes too high.

Maybe he's talking about the ACD lights flashing?

That "Boom" noise can be your driveshaft carrier bushings.

MR553201 - front carrier bearing
MR553202 - rear carrier bearing

mitsubishiparts.net sells them for $45 each + shipping. I was looking up the part #'s for them myself a few days ago

If your gonna replace the bushings I would go with Torque solution bushings. MAP has them... I would post a link, but I dont know if that is allowed.

The part #'s I posted aren't for bushings, they are carrier bearings. You're talking about the bushings that go with the mounting bolts.

sorry guys.. i just had my evo 9.. yea.. u guys where right.. it was an engine warning.. it turns on and off.. so how do i get rid of it?
