Had some spare time this weekend and i know some guys run straight down pipe , with or without a turn down for race day... however i cannot stand the raspy exhaust note that it exerts!


so my solution...



Prototype Downpipe Muffler Dump... Sounds so much smoother / better


this is a prototype w/ some parts i had laying around... going to get some flanges and pipes and make a couple more so they look a little nicer.

ill post some sound clips of idling and a WOT pass with..
full 3" exhaust
straight down pipe no muffler
and w/ this setup on it




figured i would share and get your guy's thoughts on it...

also i know it doesn't have any spot for rear o2 sensor but because most of us don't use it anyways.

 

May want to slash cut that tip for a little better look/clearance.

 

YEA that can be done easily for lowered cars but i tell ya my car sits pretty low (tien s tech's) and this thing is no where near touching anything it sits up there pretty good and close but ill look into it.. also the way this one is setup it dumps down and towards the middle of the car a LITTLE instead of straight down
