Not having good luck with tunning

I guess i should start with whats on the car..fully built bottom end, headgames head, with pte 6262, id2000's, kelford 272, bushur fabricated intake mani and throttle body, full blown dual pump setup, etc.

Heres my problem...This is the 2nd time I have gotten the car tuned. Did it once on AEM and only e85 due to tuner not being able to get it dialed in right on 93. and now on stock ecu and only on 93 octane. NEITHER time has the tuner been able to make the drive ability anything close to acceptable to me. My e85 tune on aem made good power but idle was 1900rpm, stalled out when coming to a stop, and cold start was horrible. Now on 93 and stock ecu my start up is great but my idle Im still not satisfied with. its right around 1400 and loops alot constantly dropping down and coming back up, and my stalling issue is horrible. Seems like any time i come to a stop the car stalls. Now yesterday when it was 95 degrees outside i didnt have this issue. It seemed to only be last night when it was a little colder and this morning it happen several times. Is there something wrong with my setup that makes driveability so hard to get or is it my tuners? The e85 tune on aem was done by a very respectable tuner but I just don't think he put t he time into the little details, Just made power. I switched to a different tuner when i went to stock ecu and the driveability results are better but no where close to good. Now this 2nd tuner is probably the most helpful guy I have met as far as tuning but hes telling me that the id2000's are to large and that's what is making it hard for him to get the little details right to where it will drive correctly.

I have seen several people post about the ID2000's and having great results but why does it seem Im not having good results at all? With both tunes I feel like my drive ability is the same and both tuners blaming injectors.

I want my car to have a consistent and stable idle, good cold start(which it does have on stock ecu right now), smooth cruising, and not stall out.

What do i need to do?

I would say the easiest step if to try new injectors with the same tuner. If the problem is still there then go to another tuner. good luck man

You should have no problems tuning driveabilty with ID2000(much better than the old Bosch 1600cc) and Kelford 272.

I bought these injectors because they were suppose to be great for power and drive ability. If i switch injectors then im paying for a tune all over again. If these injectors are as amazing as i hope they are and as people say then I want to keep them and have the results that other people are reporting.

Are the results other people are having on 93 octane is another question I should ask?

i love them mellon tuned my car on aem and id2000 and i have no problem. my idle is at 1500 because of my tomei 280 cams and that is where i want it.i would do a boost leak test first just to see if the is any problems there.

Switch tuners. You're setup isn't anything out of the ordinary. Any competent tuner should be able to tune the stock ECU or AEM fine on 93 or E85. I would take it to someone on this forum that is reputable and known to get good results.

I don't want to have a idle of 1500. I want 1k idle. 1500 isn't acceptable for $1100 injectors. I see plenty of people with better results and that's what I want.

Trust me I have. Both tuners have done amazing things I just don't think the ID knowledge is there.

Check the following:
Vacuum lines
Front O2 sensor
IACV

I'd also recommend performing a proper boost leak test before checking the above. A lot of folks have similiar problems; some have found solutions, some haven't. Do a search in the Engine Management/Tuning section.

Your intake manifold is probably contributing to poor idle.

Your injectors are too large for 93.

You should be running hi impedence 1680cc at the most for a 6262 capable of 750hp. 2000cc high-z injectors are 1200HP fuel injectors. This is not exhaust, bigger is not better.

Do a boost leak test. I'll bet you 80% of your problem is one or more severe air leaks in your system. Every problem you've described I've seen caused by leaks.

my guess at your problem double check the injector o rings where the fuel rail connects to them and where the o rings are for injector to intake mani, see if there are any cracks on them or anything, that can give a boost leak type driveability issue, sounds like someone needs to dial in your fuel trims better?? what are your STFT and LTFT at on your stock ecu??

With injectors that large you have to modify the tables in the ECU to accept a lower minimum injector pulse width (or duty cycle). Not sure if that has been done yet.
