Unhappy Blowoff Vavle???

i'm confused ? is it true if i get a blowoff valve for my evo i will lose boost pressure in term lost of horse power? also will it be a bad idea to get one when all i want to do is just add a blowoff valve to have the koo sound. i ask around some say it ok to get it , it won't effect the car in any harm, other say i have to up my boost first before getting it. i'm confused. does anyone out there have a blow off valve with everything stock and is ur car running ok ? the question for the poll is : YES should i get one base on ur experince that it won't harm the car in any way, or NO because it won't work as well because i'm not doing any other mods so it won't be worth it . bottom line i just want the koo sound and still have my car run normal they way it is stock. thanks sorry for this being so long

u will have some stalling issues with any type of VTA bov... i have one on my car as well and I dont have any problems with it because im very used to it so it really depends.... try it out n see if its worth it for you to have some stalling or idling issues here n there .... as for loss of hp ... you shouldn't lose any.. should feel the turbo spool up slightly quicker

If you want to keep everything stock and just want the "KOO" sound, then I would suggest to remove your ram air from your air box.

That will give you all the "KOO" sound you could possibly want, and your car will run perfect, and you didn't even have to spend one penny on your car. Seriously though try this and you'll definitely hear the bov.

get a greddy type s, it is recirculating and it will give you the sound you want.

www.RoadRaceEngineering.com sells them modified for the evo to run smooth.

Just buy a K&N. Otherwise you're wasting your money for a product you don't need until you have a bigger turbo and/or are holding very large amounts of boost.
