Whine slightly returns???

Okay i just suffered the death whine. Sent the case to shep trans for a stage one rebuild. I have drove the car 250 miles. I can hear a slight whine in the t case from 55-70 but otherwise it is silent. Before it was unbearably loud anywhere from 30-100 depending on the gear. Do any of you have what i would maybe assume as typical awd driveline whine like this? Or should i contact shep and ask for sure? I likely will anyways. I filled it with mitsu fluid to spec and the tranny guy is legit and followed shep instructions to spec. Like i said i may be paranoid its not very loud its just barely there from 55-70

I have a new tcase in mine, and it doesn't whine one bit........... UNTIL 5th gear with very light throttle from 60-70ish. It isn't loud, but it is there, and it is normal. As soon as I put any type of load on 5th gear, it vanishes.... or when I get to 75-80ish it's gone completely. A little whine is ok, it's when it's constant in all gears that you should worry.

Yep no worries...... some guys have it in first gear too under light loads. And that is with NEW or complete rebuilds. A little whine is normal, EVEN IF it was in more than one gear theoretically, as long as it's mild and brief and NOT constant and loud.

yeah mitsu gave me the wrong fluid for the t case and it was my first fluid change so i didn't know and they pretty much told me to shove it and wouldn't admit they were wrong. Which THEY WERE. Its a complete rebuild. All new bearings, seals, ring and pinion with some upgrades from stock! Shep does great work and 1/3 the price of dealer with better product.
