oem clutch, fp green turbo?

i'm willing to go fp green/hks gt ii route, what do you guys think, will my stock clutch hold? anyone uses this setup? what about launching it?

i like the pedal feel and the engagement of stocker a lot, it's good to drive in traffic, and i'm not willing to sacrifice it unless absolutely needed. please share your opinions. thank you.

Will start to slip on either IMHO. Clutch upgrade in your NEAR future, that is if you want to get all the power you can out of your new turbo.

ACT XT-SD.... perfect for you. Stock feel, little stiffer. LOT stronger.

I'm running a BBK Full on stock clutch. No slippage at all. The stock clutch should hold for awhile, but I would plan on replacing it.

I would agree. If you want it to last don't launch and shift nicely otherwise you may be due sooner than later...

The stock clutch is only going to last for a while before it starts to go out. From the parts you listed I can only assume that you are starting to put a lot of money into your vehicle. Understand that you are now starting to invest in your Evo so dont just stop with the aftermarket turbo, invest in an aftermarket clutch also, you wont regret it.........

The stock clutch can hold 535whp, I've seen it with my own eyes.

It will NOT tolerate launches at ALL. I would recommend an Exedy Twin HD.

Don't go with the stocker. You'll be sorry you didn't change it out when you could.

It will depend on a lot of things...mostly the tune. I have a green on stock clutch. My tuner set it up with lower tq (about 350) to allow for a better chance of the clutch holding. Still makes about 400 peak whp. If you are able to, I would upgrade the clutch, but it does take alot of time and money so its not always the easiest thing to have done. So the clutch will hold as long as its not high mileage, but the setup wont be optimised. One launch however and that all goes out the window

I'm still rockin' the stocker w/out any slipping...treat the clutch right (i.e. don't launch it) and you'll be fine
