Evo 8/9 MR Transmission oil ? (2011)

Hello all,

Apparently Mitsubishi has changed the part number and can for the diaqueen Super Multi Gear Oil.

There is a lot of mis-information when it comes to the 6 speed tranny fluid (just about all the retailers have cut and pasted the description for the LSD Gear oil in place of the super multi gear oil, and then furthermore, cut and pasted from each other...) however I did my research on the forum and followed what my manual has indicated... Yet, I now find myself a bit confused.

No longer is the can all in japanese. It no longer says Dia Queen anywhere on it. The part number has apparently changed from MZ313376 to 3717610.

I guess i'm cool with all that, however it's the last piece that is a bit puzzling as the can says it is for use in automatic transmissions...

Anyway, here are few snap shots.

Here is a link to JSC (about the only retailer with the right information regarding lsd gear oil vs super multi gear oil) showing both part numbers.

I don't know how true this is, but I met a dude that claimed to be running Mopar ATF in his 6sp transmission and that thing shifted awesome.
He said it was the same stuff that is used in the SRT-4.

I personally use the Amsoil stuff. Still feels great after 10k

Okay, Just got back from the Local Dealer and confirmed that this is the "NEW" version of the oil. They no longer come in the white DiaQueen can that is all in Japanese.

I just received this after ordering the DiaQueen 6 Speed MR Transmission also.

Can anyone confirm it's the same thing? It says for Automatic Transmissions so I'm kinda scared!
