16V Battery Updrade

There are new batteries in production that are 16v's that are produced by Braille. They make them in a regular design that prevents acid spills and dangerous hydrogen off-gassing so its Approved by the NHRA, ADRL, IDRL and all forms of Drag Racing. There are other versions of this 16V battery made of lithium available for those with deep pockets.

My question is would I benefit more from a 16V battery or should I settle for a light weight 12V battery. I do have a system In my Evo with a Sub, and I have herd more voltage equals better performance ECT.. Has anyone experienced this with a higher voltage battery?

for one your cars electronics were designed in a 12v system not 16v. just remember all the little things that could possibly blow out because of that

Do some research! Your charging system on the car (alternator) is designed for a 12V battery. The alternator charges the battery at around 14 Volts, so you would not be able to charge the 16 volt battery at all. If you are concerned about your radio, go with an optima battery. Going with a lightweight battery reduces the reserve capacity for a battery, so just done run anything when the cars not running.

Wish I had $1,250 for a ballin' battery, I'm stuck with the regular old group 35 $100 batteries

I don't know what chemistry they're using but I made an A123 battery for my evo awhile back. It came in at 4.2lbs. I definitely paid way less than that to build it too . mithrandir7533 is right, it will only charge upto 14ish.
