so i just picked up a barely used fp red 2 days ago and realized on the hotside the turbine nut looks like its stripped or something. i looked on google and most of the reds and blacks i seen have this so im guessing this prob normal? here is a pic i found mine likes exactly like this

 

Are you serious or joking? The turbine nut is "cut" or "shaved for balancing purposes!

The turbine shaft hex nut is "cut" in specific places, so the weight of the rotation coincides with the rest of the cartridge assembly.
