Hi all,

1st time disassembling engine so pardon my ignorance.

In the middle of taking apart a 2.4 for new build and had a question regarding removing crank.
I'm @ this stage and not quite sure how to remove front assembly to get crank out.

Does this need to be removed before pulling off front ?

 

the oil filter housing needs to come off first.

 

thanks, large bolt in 1st pic?
