Oil return line leak 06 evo ix gsr

I recently bought a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR, had been driving it around for a while and started noticing oil spots on my driveway, took it to a mechanic, he said it was my oil return line on the bottom of the car front passenger side by front bumper. Is this a common problem?
Also I sometimes have given the car some decent throttle, and it's almost like the fuel? shuts off? I let off gas for a second, and then continue driving, any possibilities on what that could be? If I need to explain more I can.

Thanks.

Dallas

Sounds like fuel cut. And yes if the prevvious owner had taken the drain loose and neglected to replace the small metal gasket then it will leak like crazy. I did this thinking the gasket would re seal and it didn't. It could also be ccoming from your oil drain plug crush washer they are often neglected to be changed as well

How would i prevent that fuel cut?
Also, he said it was a line.. not the oil pan, just replace the black hose?

Are we talking about the turbocharger oil drain line that runs from the bottom of the center housing on the turbo down to the oil pan? This is kind of a corrugated looking metal line, or tube. Kinda articulated segments if you know what I mean.

What black hose? Are you talking about the return line that comes off the oil cooler? You gotta be more specific.

Sounds like an oil cooler line is leaking, throw a pic of it up that should help everyone.

As for the fuel cut it sounds like you need to have the car looked over by someone that knows evos, there are quite a few things that could be, find a tuner to make friends with.

Yes, the oil cooler return line i believe, a black plastic/rubber hose, I only saw it, a little low for pictures, but I can try.

Anyone in Utah that I could become friends with? Cobbtuning.com and Rallysportdirect.com but I have never dealt with them.

if its leaking from the oil cooler it should be a simple fix with new copper crush washers

the fuel issue has to be tuning related but should still look at all your erg lines and lil lines behind the intake mani. your gonna need alot of zip ties for em
