Evolution ix rebuild

hi i am doing a rebuild very soon on my evolution ix, but i am wondering what stroker kit should i go with, i would like to go with a 2.3l or 2.6l,or any one in between. I am looking for hp anywhere from 800-1000 hp. I am also wondering, i been looking up about 6 bolt and 7 bolt engines, and heard that 7 bolts arent as strong. Will i have to replace my engine block or is the stock one good to use? i am also wondering what is the best brand for parts to get (ams, buschur, jun, etc.)? thank you

Hey man, did your stock motor blow or are you just building?

Personally, I would recommend doing a LR2.4 High Compression. It would be the exact setup that I am running in my personal car. It is by far the best feeling street/strip motor that I have ever felt.

The older 7 bolts were not as strong as the 6 bolts. However, the Evo 7bolt doesn't crank walk.

If you are interested in doing a motor build I can help you. We do motor builds and will walk you through the whole process to get you what you want.

Here is my current setup.

A 2.6L would have a horrible rod stroke ratio. You would have to sacrifice a lot of rpms. The LR2.4 is the best all around motor out there. Let me know a time frame on building a motor and I can put something together for you if you would like.

so a 2.4l would be the stroker kit to get? i was looking at one kit that had titanium rods. And i have all winter, and well anytime from now to next spring. my goal horsepower at the total end is 800-1000, but that will be slowly after the rebuild. i am just looking to do the engine rebuild right now.
