Swapped my transmission now im overboosting?

I have an 05 mr I just changed the trans to an 06 mr now I'm overboosting. I checked the two line that's go to the hbc and the caps for the stock boost controller. I am not sure what else to check. I was running 27lbs before on e85 and now its going clear past 30 and I just let off. Could it have anything to do with the battery being out of the car for 3 days maybe messed up the tune Idk. I am running an rp red I didn't touch he waste gate or turbo at all during the trans swap the closest I got was taking off the down pipe . Any ideas ?

Maybe you just sealed up all the leaks and now getting the correct amount of boost? :}

Is there anyway to make sure my waste gate is working under load? I don't have access to a compressor. Is there any other way ? And once it hits 30lbs I let off I'm pretty sure it would keep building boost. It also back fires and shots some smoke and its never done that befor. Now I'm scared to go over 25lbs

Make sure you didn't swap your vacuum lines around. It could be that simple.

And if you have some sort of way to connect your air compressor directly to your wastegate nipple, if you hit it with around 10-12 psi, you should be able to watch the actuator arm move

+1 on being a giant boost leak when you got tuned. not everything is back on right it could be that or as hmatt said you coulda put the vac lines on backwards

The vaccum lines weren't touched that's heats weird and my deck boost gauge only goes to 30 psi so I am scared it will to higher if the waste gate isn't working! Could it be possible the wg actuater got ****ed up it looks fine to me and if I grab the ARM I can move it

the vacuum line on the wastegate actuator is not correctly setup then and the cars running off no wastegate.. and the flapper will not open until its blown open by exhaust gases.. so its gonna overboost.

So i connected the actuator directly to the turbine outlet and the waste gate worked perfectly at 15psi. What i dont understand is why would the hbc just stop working is there anything i can do to fix it ?
