big injectors without a new pump?

im kicking myself for even asking this, because i definitely know better and have more experience but...

i feel im out of injector on my car (consistent 99-102 idc's and cant get it any richer) with the stock turbo/ injectors/pump. im going to purchase some fic 1050's to leave enough headroom for the future (cams, o2 housing, e85 if i move etc).

right now i just need something to add half a point to my afr as im riding 11.8-11.9's which i dont like.

i guess overall im wondering what the limit of a ix pump is? and if it would cause any problems to run 1050's on a stock pump when im not pushing it?

i know i need a pump eventually, but due to my need for the car as a daily at the moment, i dont feel like having a fuel pump take a **** on me shortly after install since i had been planning to try out the dw/aeromotive stealth pumps which havent really proven themselves yet...

Just replace it with a Walbro.
Took me 2 hours to do it and I am not even that good with hand tools after some beer!

Since you won't be pushing the pump too hard with your current build, dropping our DW301 in should be an easy task.

Our pump has been out for over 8 months now, and we already have thousands of pumps out in dealers and customers cars.

A pump may be worth a half point afr... Injectors will surely not have a problem, where is your peak idc ?

It's above 6k of I recall, I'll check tonight. I've got requests down to the low 8's in my rom and I got a 3% bump in idc But no change in afr...yor not the first person totell me I should be able to go further on the stock injectors either...

How much boost are you running? As someone alluded to...with your very mild mods( stock turbo, pump gas tune, and stock cams) the stock injectors combined with stock the IX pump should be able to deliver all the fuel that you need.

peak is 24psi, making a consistent 330/300 on vd, but my afr's are stuck at 11.9 on my wideband.

def need an upgraded fuel pump. go walboro 255 ltr/hr and dont look back. if u plan on goin big go with a double pumper = one walboro 255 for sending, and one for return. many reputible tuners offer a drop in double pumper w/ hardware for an affordable price

The Walbro solution has already been suggested. However, the OP has stated in no uncertain terms that he cannot live with the noise of a Walbro pump on a daily basis.

So you aren't getting enough fuel to your stock injectors and your solution is to get bigger injectors? Does that make sense? You need a fuel pump, and if you dont want another Walbro, then take your chances and get the DW or aeromotive. I would definitely put in the Wally, takes about 20 mins. Good luck with whatever route you choose.

Don't assume that in an intank double pumper setup the secondary pump is dedicated to performing return duties. This would be wrong. Both pumps share the same function of supplying fuel to the rail. The outlet of both pumps is T-eed into a common feed line which supplies the fuel rail.

If I were you I would get the dw pump. It should push more fuel through the stock injectors to hopefully get that half point. I just installed my dw and its a quiet pump. It will also be cheaper to get a pump instead of injectors. If you plan on running e85 in the future I would also go with at least some fic1450.

In the meantime, you could either add a KenneBell Boost a Pump, or hot-wire the stock pump to increase voltage.
