So I've finally gotten my motor over the 1000 mile break in period. Its been leaking oil very lightly since day 1 from the lower timing cover area. I originally thought it was the oil pan, so I resealed it before I brought the car down to NC back in April, well it was still leaking.

Fast forward 5 months and I decided to hunt it down and fix it last night using UV oil dye. When the car is running the oil is pooling on the end of the oil pump gear and the gear is flinging it everywhere. I'm in the process of tearing it down again. Do you guys think its just the seal on the shaft or is it possible it could be the pump? The oil pressure has never dropped below 30 psi, I've been monitoring it very closely every time I drive the car...which isn't much.

I also bought a new PCV valve as well, which I blew in after buying and it allows air in both directions, the one on the car works as it should, never put the new one on. Could this still be causing a problem? Currently all vac lines coming off the valve cover are going where they do stock. I'm tempted to just replace the oil pump to be honest, I'm not happy that a 5000 dollar motor was leaking oil from the oil pump gear shaft from the first start up. Thoughts?

**Thought I'd mention I'm on a stock turbo right now for break in, its taken 5-6 months to put 1000 miles on the car, motor hasn't seen more than 7-8 psi, never seen 100% throttle, and I haven't taken the motor over 5k unless I downshifted and let the motor wind down. I bought the motor last Nov. so I know the vendor is just going to tell me tough luck if there is a serious issue.
