Fidanza or http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/STEEL...item415d6b178e

They're both identical, same box, same sealed packing bag, etc. I used it and liked it on my IX.

The $30 ebay one is as good if not better than any on the market. I'm not an EBAY parts guy at all but 100% this is not one of those "you get what you pay for" deals.

Get the EBAY piece you will not regret it neither will your wallet in this case

the ebay shifter was a big fail for me. but that's because apparently you can install it without cutting up your car but then it's not short. didn't want to cut up my car so ...

I don't remember how it shifted before but I know it doesn't shift as nice or as short as my 02 WRX with factory installed short shifter on a rebuilt trans with Legacy GT Gears.

so I wish there was a better option for me. considering the works.

I put the WORKS shifter in not long ago, I had to redo the installation though because I hadn't used enough grease the first time and the shifter didn't feel good. Now that it's greased properly it shifts pretty much the same as the stock shifter with slightly shorter throw. TBH the difference in throw isn't enormous, just enough for you to notice it.

I also run the BR short shifter with the base and under the hood bushings. Never had a single problem and I absolutely love it. Its just a bit shorter than stock, but the stock shifter is shorter than most anyways. But the throw is much shorter than stock. Recommend!!
