ACD pump out?

So I was racin an sti (stomped it btw...any wanna video let me know ) when I was shiftin into 4th i just barely missed the gear and revved up a bit. I got it into fourth and the car cut out for about 2 seconds and than would take off again than cut off for a bit and so on. I pulled over right away and the car off for about 2 minutes and started it back up and drove for about a mile and all three lights came on...tarmac gravel and snow. The car started cutting out again until i got home and havent touched it since. Anyone know for sure what it would be? My guess was the acd pump but why is it cutting out and why did it do it when i missed a gear? please help

I don't see why the pump would fail from missing a gear; it could be many other things.

Take a small wire and short pins 1 and 4 on the OBD-2 port, then turn the key to the "on" position. The ACD lights will flash to tell you what the fault code is. There will be a number of slow flashes, a small pause, then faster flashes. The slow flashes each count for 10 and the fast flashes count for 1 (for example, if you get 8 slow then 2 fast flashes, the error code is 82). If I remember correctly, pin 1 is the pin closest to the shifter.

Once you have the error code it'll be easier to find out what's wrong.

I dont want to mess anything up. When it comes to the ecu im not the most educated ha. How exactly do you short a specific pin.

You just need to make a connection between pins 1 and 4 with a small piece of electrical wire.
