what different is it if you guys use a 2003. The only difference an 03 and an 04 is that the 04 comes with option of leather seats, and a Infinity sound system. Are you guys gonna take 2003's and prefirebaly from what area?

 

K&N test fit cars must be of the year they state, I was the test fit car for the lancer 03 typhoon kit. They literally have your car for a day or so and you pick it up and for the use of your car for a day you get a free intake, not a bad gig i tell ya.

 

Good luck waiting for an '04, since they are only starting to be built now, they'll be waiting awhile. Evos like most speciality vehicles are built calendar year to calendar year, so production is probably just starting today in Japan.

 

The dealer I bought from is still ordering 03's!!!!!!

 

Does this have anything to do with CARB certification or just so they can be certain that the stated piece will fit the stated car?

04 HAS LEATHER SEATS???????? WTF????????? I want some leather seats!!!!! I might be getting the black part of the seats in factory black mitsubishi seude leather. They quoted me $1000 on Mitsubishi suede leather for the whole car including armrest, rear seats, front seats, and door panels.

 

I believe the leather seats will come in the "Urban Jungle" package that will be optional on the Evo RS.

 

Guru Del is correct. K&N fit-checks all years of the products they specify for sale. K&N will not specify something for sale if it was not properly tested. We also need to do this so we can submit our 04 CARB application...

I didn't know 04's were not out yet, since we've been hammering out all our other 04 fit-checks for the past 3 months.
