Quaife is the only solution fixing the bronken transfer case right?
so its good to have one just incase u brake one.......?? ? ?
or do we need to replace whole transfer case?
i m in for 3rd run.....

I think the Quaife is the only "reasonable" solution for a broken transfer case. RRE has a really good article on what really breaks in the TC, and its the front diff. If you swap out the FD for the Quaife, then unless something else really stupid breaks, you've got a solution.

As far as the cost to do it ... (rounding) upto $1500.00 for a Quaife, and upto $500.00 for an install (really high estimates) ... instead of $1800.00 out of pocket for 'another' TC that might bust anyways, the Quaife is a really good solution.

I agree...but we have also seen a bunch of ring and pinion failures (over 50%) the Quaife does nothing for this....

Mike is this also true for the ralli-art LSD? Just curious because I almost went that route.

Is this mainly a clearance issue, a manufacturing issue, and or a oiling issue?

My curious level is going up.

I should point out that after a month with the Quaife installed I can report that in daily driving, there is no way to tell it's there. No binding, strange torque steer issues, or problems with parking. Nada. It works perfectly and I have no doubt that it is as good or better than the factory part. The magic occurs when you go into a corner that was previously too hot and all of a sudden an invisible hand moves the nose of your car deeper into the corner. I've even broken the tail loose on a dry track which I've never done before. Why even bother with a JDM or Ralliart diff that requires TC mods when this works so well?

Quaife has been doing the torque biasing diff for years and for the biggest names in the industry and in motorsport. They not only have race experience but are a trusted OEM for companies like Ford and DaimlerChrysler. Give the boys at RRE your money, it's well deserved.

No, it will not, you need to do what I did, get a Evo8 TC and then fit the Quaife, you will also need to get the rear diff from the Evo8 to get rid of the ayc all together.
