I just got my lineage ground kit, and I'm a little confused about where the 5 points should be. If any one has a PIC of there set up (WOULD BE AMAZINGLY HELPFUL) or comments,it would be great to hear.thanks y'all.

They will do equally jack **** anywhere you put them. Ground them where they look the prettiest.

When I added some extra grounding I hit the following points:

1) Left front chassis ground - where 1/2 of your engine bay seems to be grounded.
2) Right front chassis ground - where the other 1/2 of your engine bay seems to be grounded.
3) Intake manifold ground - supplements the TINY factory ground wire there.
4) Head between the coils - to ensure my coils get good grounding.

But whatever; it's just for looks right?

ReHeat's link is the thread I used to install mine. Was a custom length DIY however.

Certainly a heavier load then your own, if you think they do anything...

I have seen some dyno sheets in various tuner mags that show modest gains through the addition of grounding wires. Nothing that will blow your mind but usually in the neigborhood of 3-10 hp depending on the car. Plus they look purty

Well, for one thing, import tuner is notorious among tuners for coming up with results that do match what we see in the real world...For instance among the SER crowd it was a huge deal when IT "dyno tuned" a SER n/t and made no gains with a hotshot header, but gained like 8 hp from a cat back....while every other SER in the country gained no power from a catback and good gains from a Hotshot header....But the magazine wasn't sponsored by Hotshot...they were however sponsored by the catback manufacturer.

Am I saying they are dishonest? Not nessecarily, but alot of their tuning and gain are very questionable. They also start with the engine cold, then get it up to operating temp over the course of the dyno runs. These cars run extremely rich until coolant reaches over 155-160 degrees. Thats another large power gain.

They ALSO were dyno testing a car that admittedly was in a fire, so the car in the country that is going to show the MOST gains is going to be that one....and those claims are most likely still BS regardless.

Now its your turns. YOU have the burden of proof, lets hear some of these theories as to why a grounding system will do anything.

Remember that while sparking, current goes from one side of the coil to the other, not to ground, and the coils are driven off the ecu, they are not grounded at the head eitheir. I have my coils on my car wrapped in an insulator with absolutley no grounds other then the wires, and one of us hear runs 11's at the same speed Al does on stock ignition.

If only you knew enough about electronics to appreciate the irony of your attempted sarcasm....

While you are spending time and $$$ grounding things that don't need to be grounded, might I suggest:

5) Windshield washer nozzles. When you put in those bling bling LED ones, you got to ground them good. I noticed my LEDs were much brighter after this. I didn't even need to use my headlights for night driving anymore.
6) ECU case. You will need to drill a hole through your firewall and run a welding cable through, but this is the best way to ground the ECU properly.
7)Exhaust tip.I noticed after grounding my chrome tip, the exhaust note changed from a high pitched buzz to a deep rumble. It sounded like I installed cams, and was much faster.
8) ECU sensors. The ECU sensors are grounded with tiny wires. Adding 8 gauge wire going from each sensor to the battery ground will increase the electron flow, and make them respond that much faster.
9)Battery positive. The ultimate grounding upgrade. This allows so much more current to flow than any other ground setup, you won't believe the difference in power. Not for the faint of heart.

I claim no responsibility for any catastrophic results that may occur when you follow these suggestions. Blame it on Darwin.
