Yep, it's a straight fit. Are you getting the turbo and everything or just the block and head?

should take about a day to do the swap. I reckon with NZ prices youre looking at anything from 6 hundy to a grand.

Should be able to be done in a day. I did a silver top 4AGE swap in a day with a couple of people. A bit simpler mind you but that was a not done in a shop. Where in NZ are you?

Yes and no, you will need to put your evo 5 oil filter unit onto the Evo 6 block the 6 runs a larger diameter banjo bolt.
I'd do it for you but I'm in Aus getting that Dollar.

One of the fella's who I have shown might be able to help you out.

Is the engine out, are you a chump? are you going to face the flywheel or replace the clutch, are you replacing the fluids are you leaving the tranny in or dropping the whole lot etc.

Apart from cracking everything and getting the transfer shaft out the hardest thing is getting the whicha plate between the release bearing and the clutch. if you do it yourself make sure you look at the workshop manual. its not super clear, just don't be a f aggot and keep prying, use your brain and you will work it out. if not be a forum ***** and someone will come to your rescue and feel chuffed about themselves.

The last thing is, is there anything wrong with your motor ? if the answer is no then why waste your time and money.
Just start saving for the forged rebuild after you think its a good idea to crank up the boost cause some nig did it in his RB.

Good luck dude I hope it works out for you

You don't "need" one. But without one it's very difficult and if you **** something up you'll probably break something. If you drop it, it could get very messy. I wouldn't do an engine swap (again) without a lift. 4G63 is probably a bit heavier than 4AGE too.

If your fresh to working on cars and have no experienced people to help then I would recommend not doing it.
I did it 4 times with out a hoist its not that hard you just have to make sure that you have clearance out the bottom

Minimum needed
Engine Crane
axle stands - car one wont go high enough just use some wood
jack - most jacks won't go high enough just use a block of wood

if you have truck axle stands its so much easier

My bad, when I said lift I meant engine lift/crane, not car lift. No you don't need a car lift.
